Smart, witty brit lit with a chick of a certain age

I've just discovered Trisha Ashley, and I'm only a few chapters into this book -- and I'm already in "lit love" with her! Her main character is smart and funny, and -- hurrah! -- happily middle-aged and sexually active. Brit romance novelist Tina Devino is battling a publishing world that doesn't appreciate "midlist authors." I don't know how this will turn out, but I'm already behind the quirky and sympathetic Tina all the way...and ready to order Ashley's other books.
