Since the publication of the first edition in 1996, Janes Guns Recognition Guide has sold over 55,000 copies worldwide. This new, fully updated third edition ensures its distinction as the most authoritative and comprehensive firearms handbook available. This full-colour, third edition features all new photographs and additional information on all varieties of modern firearms. The new format allows for a greater range of guns, making it easy to distinguish the key features of the weapons. Entries are divided by category, from pistols and revolvers to automatic rifles and machine guns. A comprehensive manufacturers' and brand name index makes this the most authoritative and useful guide on the market today.
Would love to get the newest edition but this will work for now 🙂
Good reference

Good reference for the price listed (used). Good format. I would prefer another design of the content, but it is ok.
Well Rounded Guide

Very imformative and up to date, with relevant facts and a summary for each weapon. On the negative side though, there are WAY to many grammatical errors, it was as if the author could'nt speak English. But since grammar is not important in this type of book it is negligible. In terms of selection of firearms virtually every mass-produced firearm after 1940 is included; the only I can recall thats not in the book is the Walther P99.
Excellent Reference

This is an excellent reference book for the gun enthusiast. It includes one picture per model shown, specifications such as weight, length, etc., safety, loading and unloading instructions, etc. I personally would have liked more info, specially regarding countries in which it is in service, overall performance, etc.
