Although not a cruiser myself, I've visited about 15 of the gulf islands on the ferries, and this book is full of useful and fun information that will make your cruising experiences more enjoyable. Each island is different and has its own unique ambience and charm. You could spend a lifetime just exploring this part of Canada, and it's my favorite part of the world, actually, although I'm from California in the states, which has plenty of nice spots too. But I take every opportunity possible to get up to B.C. for visits. If you're already familiar with this area I don't have to tell you how special it is. There are something like a hundred islands in the gulf and the Georgia Strait, most of them uninhabited, but many of them are, and they offer many fine opportunities for sailing and exploring. This book is chock full of information that will make your sailboating or cruising more enjoyable.
