This book is a great resource for defining your unique contribution, fine-tuning your resume, and coaching you through a career transition. What I didn't anticipate was the tremendous value for someone not in transition. Great Work Great Career gave me a new ideas for applying my talents, passion, and conscience to my employer's needs, as well as valuable insights into research, proposing solutions, and quantifying my successes. Highly recommend!

I am 60 years old, running a motel in Oregon, and I think you are never too old to rethink your contribution and reevaluate the focus and direction of your career. Great Work Great Career could not have come at a better time. I downloaded it on my kindle, and I have revisited it several times. I enjoyed the two styles and perspectives of the authors. The book really made me think about how I want to spend the next twenty years.
Great Work Great Career: Great Timing!

I loved this book, and I read it in one sitting on a train-which no doubt irritated my fellow passengers; I laughed out-loud several times, took copious notes, did the exercises and truly rethought how I will approach my career. Colosimo and Covey have translated fundamental insights through their extensive combined experience of working with thousands of people in every industry around the globe. They bring disparate yet complimentary styles and perspectives through their distinct voices. This book changes the way you view your career and provides useful tools, exercises and information on how to differentiate yourself-something which impacts everyone (employed or unemployed) in this economy. In addition, it is a motivational, yet realistic approach to career-planning. The book is designed to help the knowledge worker identify their strengths, and provides the strategy on how to contribute and stay relevant in the new economy. My husband is reading my dog-eared copy, and I have ordered copies for my friends. I highly recommend this book.

Really liked the dual perspectives with Stephen adding Jennifer Colosimo to this work. They really nailed the frustration I've had with conversations about the current job market. The job description is dead. Time to solve problems! This relevant, practical approach should be required reading for everyone 16 and above. Hope to read more from Jennifer too!
Building your own great career

Loved this little book. The writing is immediately applicable and I can see how I can build my current job into a great career. I loved the contribution statement information and tips and the Build Your Village section has already been invaluable.
