My son loves this book

We've been reading this book to my now 3-year old son for at least the past year, almost every night. He loves the rhythm of the words, and never gets tired of listening to the poems and reciting them along with us. He always asks for his favorites (which change on a weekly basis). There are so many poems and so much variety to choose from, so it's much more interesting to me than reading the same book over and over.

I think this is a wonderful, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural group of poems. My son is entranced by them and loves the format of a poem for each night. The poems are a combination of classic and new, and the illustrations are lovely. My son is 4 and developing a love of poetry. We will be adding this one to our collection.

I liked this book very much because it sends me off to sleep when my dad reads it to me every nighttiem.
