Interesting story about news bureaus and the international gold market. I read it some time ago but remember it being very good. In the Apartheid era, a London news service (similar to Bloomberg or Reuters) gets a call from their South African stringer informing them that many of the gold mines in South Africa have been blown up by terrorists. This of course sends the price of gold skyrocketing, and the reporter at the news service is out to see what happened, why and how the world is being affected.
