In this book, the Saddle Club is invited to go to a prestigious three day eventing horse show by an old friend of theirs, Dorothy DeSoto and her husband Nigel. Nigel is training a promising horse named Southwood, whose owner cares very much about winning and competing but not very much for her mount's welfare. When she is injured, the Club's friend Kate takes over and competes Southwood. The Saddle Club thinks Kate is good enough to start training for the Olympics, but she has other ideas.

Good moral book.This book shows that when a friend makes a descision that you don't understand,don't interfier(spelling?)with it. They made the descision to fit their own lives, not yours. This book shows a new side to Kate. Very interesting book.
