I have read most of Barry Kaufman's books and this is definietly my favorite. I read the book in one night because I couln't put it down. It's very inspiring. I wish I would have read this book when I was a teenager. Everyone I have given it to has loved it.

I would recommend this book as a gentle introduction to Barry Neil Kaufman's philosophy of life. Each chapter tells the story of one of Kaufman's young clients and records Kaufman's conversations with the person over different sessions, as the person gradually opens up towards happiness. In the course of the book you get a very nice overview of Kaufman's philosophy, by example rather than having it explained to you word for word. Definitely a moving book too. If you want an actual Kaufman philosophy book, try To Love is To Be Happy With.
