This book has some very good ideas, but I can't really use them. There were only maybe 10 of the 75 books that I own and are my favorite. I didn't find the ones in this book to be very popular books on the market. The ideas were good though and relevant to teaching reading in a K-2 classroom.
Great resource for the primary classroom

I like this teacher resource because it serves as a supplement to the adopted program in our district. The focus is on trade books and helping beginning readers become successful and independent readers of these books. There are plenty of activites that are tied to familiar trade books. I have used the suggestions and seen my students become more confident and self assured readers. I think it is particularly useful for the kindergarten or first grade classroom teacher or for use in remedial programs.
