George and Martha Rock!

This was the first George and Martha book we got for our granddaughter, who recently turned four. She's enjoyed these two friends so much that we've been buying some of the others, too, but I think I like this one the best. With a wonderful economy of words, the stories in each book manage to imply a great deal about their relationship, and it's fascinating to see how a young child 'gets' all of the things left unsaid--why one of the characters did something, and how they felt, and so on. These are perfect for emerging readers, too, because after a few reads, the child knows the story and is able to flip through the pages and tell it back to him/herself.

This sequel to the popular book, "George and Martha"tells even more shared adventures of this dynamic duo. The storiesare easy to read, easy to enjoy. This additional set of short animated stories about two good friends shouldn't be missed.Will George make it into the air by balloon?Another 5 stars for these two good friends!
