Up-and-coming celeb manager Sage Collins is ready for the big time. About to land her first big client--a teenager who could be the next Michael Jordan--Sage is determined to make her mark. The immovable object in her way? Marshall Grant, the athlete's father and manager--over six feet of sexy, take-charge ex-military male. No matter. Big-city chick Sage isn't leaving small-town Indiana without a contract--even if she has to seduce Marshall to get it. Sage is all wrong for Marshall. So why is the single father finding the Vegas glam girl so irresistible? Marshall never thought Sage would trade her stilettos for sweats and sneakers, or her thrill-a-minute life for the frigid temps of Indiana. (Maybe the romantic firelit dinner or midnight sleigh rides have something to do with it.) Is the ultimate city girl playing a game neither of them can win? Or are they about to become partners in a new game, where love calls the shots?
Games Of The Heart is a typical romance, but an interesting, good read.

Young Vegas girl Sage is looking to advance in her firm and thinks she has found the perfect client that could get her there: a teenager that could potentially be the next Michael Jordan. In the process of trying to make Khari her first big client, she has to take on the teenager's six-foot, take-charge, ex-military father and manager, Marshall Grant. Sage is willing to go through leaps and bounds to make Khari the next pro basketball player. However, is she willing to drop her game of "Monopoly" to play "Life"? Or, will the love that develops between the Marshall and Sage result in "Trouble"? Games Of The Heart is a typical romance, but an interesting, good read. Pamela Yaye engages her audience with her words and imagination. The story is somewhat realistic and the characters are well-developed. Though the ending is predictable, a lesson is learned after reading the novel: Anything worth keeping is worth fighting for. Sage and Marshall both realize that they have flaws and things to work on, but they can make one another feel like no other can. If married couples of today would consider this lesson prior to their wedding days, there would probably be less divorces in the world. 5 Pink Diamonds Sistah Shauna of the SistahFriend Book Club

Celebrity manager Sage Collin has always been able to use her beauty and common sense to get ahead in life. She knew how to use what she had to get what she wanted. That is until she meets handsome, ex-military, single father Marshall Grant. Marshall is a no nonsense type of guy. He is firm in his beliefs and he believes that his son, high school basketball phenom, Khari Grant, is going to Harvard to study pre-med. Khari doesn't want to go to Harvard and Sage needs to sign him as a client to get the promotion she has been working towards. So now she has to use some of those skills that she has acquired in life. Somewhere between the lies and deceit, Sage realizes that she doesn't care as much about her career as she does about Marshall and Khari. They become like the family she never has. Now she has to prove to Marshall, on more than one occasion, that she cares more about him and Khari than anything else. Games of the Heart is a good read by Pamela Yaye. Yaye does a good job with character development. Her writing also flows well, so there were no lagging moments. I was a little disappointed with the ending. I thought Games of the Heart could have been developed a little more, but overall the story was good. Reviewed by Tenecia for Urban Reviews

Khari Grant is the next phenom. The next Kobe Bryant. The next Lebron James. Just a senior in high school, he's the real deal. Signing him would be a hug feat for Sage Collins and a guarantee at being the next executive manager at Sapphire Entertaining Agency. The only thing standing between her and her dream job is a brute of a man. Marshall Grant has taken the role of father and protector seriously. He knows his son has great skills and potential to be one of the best at the game. However...it's college first, NBA second as far as he is concerned. He won't let anyone or anything get in the way of that. Offers of money, cars and homes don't faze him. What about a beautiful woman? Pamela Yaye tackles an unlikely couple while giving us a charming plot, well-realized characters, passion and love. I was pleased. Fans of romance will enjoy "Games of the Heart." Reviewed by: Toni

I absolutely loved this book...the characters seemed so real and the story really came to life. The interactions between Sage and Marshall were...how can I explain it?...It had so much anticipation and it had me on the edge of my chair so much so that I just wanted them to go ahead and get it on lol! I felt like Sage did some really idiot things, but she NEVER tried to hurt anybody. All in all, it was a great story with an interesting plot!
