I don't cook, but these I want to try! I love the recipes offered! This book offers options for many recipes, among them is servings for 4-6 or 40-60. My mouth literally watered reading individual recipes. I actually hope to create my own garden this year to embrace the joyful offerings from this book. Hmmmm.

Now in a newly revised and significantly updated edition "Gaia's Kitchen: Vegetarian Recipes For Family & Community" features a culinary wealth of delicious vegetarian dishes that range from the simple to the complex, the classic to the exotic. Compiled by Julia Ponsonby with the assistance of friends at Schumacher College, "Gaia's Kitchen" showcases vegetarian recipes from the Mediterranean, as well as California, Mexico, and India. Of special note is the commentary concerning nutritional issues, special diets, and the ecological ramifications of food production. Gourmet Vegetarian Dining!

Based on the menu from Schumacher College in Devon, England, this book of recipes (and more) is by far the best vegetarian cookbook I have ever come across. The whole philosophy extends to conservation, preservation, sustainability, biodiversity - and is a lesson to us all. Every single recipe we have tried from this wonderful book has been absolutely delicious, and nonvegetarian friends have been astounded that food can taste this good. Recipes include quantities for 30 people and up, so you can happily and easily feed a crowd. Totally recommended!
