Froggy's parents are expecting a new baby, and Froggy is hoping for a brother. So when his parents introduce him to Pollywogilina, his new baby sister, Froggy is disappointed. Not only is she a girl, but Polly is too little to do anything Froggy isn't even allowed to take care of her until her tail falls off. Waiting is hard, but just when he's ready to give up, Polly's legs finally grow and big brother Froggy steps in to show her the ropes.
A classic. Even if there is not a new little one on the way. Love when Froggy has to wait for his sister to loose her tail and grow legs so he can play with her! Great for 3,4,5 year olds to identify with and share what they know with the new little ones.
Another Great Froggy Book

My children enjoy the Froggy books and my husband and I are always happy when we come across a new one. This book is another great Froggy book. It is a light read that is a feel good read too! My daughter could easily relate to how hard it was to wait for her baby brother to be old enough to play with so understood Froggy's feelings. As for Froggy wanting a brother and getting a sister, it was clear he loved her very much and once he could play with her he made no mention of wishing she was a boy!
Nice Story

My 5 year old son borrowed this book from school and we read it together tonight. He has other Froggie books and really enjoys them. He enjoyed this one a lot too and asked me to buy it for him. We thought it was a sweet story. Yes, Froggie was disappointed when he heard he had a baby sister rather then a brother, but he couldn't wait for his little sister to be big enough to play with her and teach her new things. We thought the end was very sweet when mommy frog couldn't quiet the baby down, she wanted her big brother. Froggie was more then ready to go to his baby sister and comfort her. All in all nice story.
