"First there was just me-- Johanna--just me and Mom and Dad. Then one day they said a baby was on the way . . ." Little Sisters can be a pain. They cry a lot and play with your toys when you don't... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is so cute. My oldest daughter received this for a gift on her sister first birthday. It was great to read it to her, it gave her some one on one time during the party. She did very good with her sister getting all the attention, and asked for a wish bone. (You will have to read the book to fully understand but it's was very sweat of her). I believe the book helped her understand her how to be a big sister. I recommend this book for children who can understand other's feelings
Highly recommended!

Johanna reacts candidly to her feelings about having a new baby sister. At first she reserves judgment and does not share her parents' enthusiasm for Jillian who "spent too much time with Mom." She progresses to thinking "maybe having a little sister was going to be ok" and ultimately to "I'm lucky she's mine." The photograph are outstanding: charming, expressive, honest. For an outrageously funny companion book, try Kevin Henkes' "Julius, the Baby of the World."

This is a wonderful book for expectant siblings! The story is simple and well written, and the photography is lovely. I read this book to my 1yr old before his brother was born and he really enjoyed it. I recommend it very highly!
