An excellent book by an Irish patriot and hero.

An excellent book about how the IRA was able to defeat the British millitarily, and how Sinn Fein was able to defeat the Unionists politically. Adams has long been a hero to the Irish American people, and is well known for his ability to outwit and outmaneuver the forces of Britian and Loyalisim.

brilliant insight into the beliefs of present day Sinn Fein

This book was given to me by a friend from Belfast after my constant questions about "The Cause." It is a straight forward and brilliant insight into the reasons for the republincan stuggle and proposes Sinn Fein's ideas on how to resolve it. Not only is "Free Ireland" an excellent place to start an understanding of the Republican Movement, it also works as a reminder to those involved how we got to the passing of the recent peace agreement.
