Martin Johnson, started his career with the South Wales Argus, progressed to the Leicester Mercury, was former cricket correspondent of The Independent, sports feature writer of the Daily Telegraph and multi-faceted writer for The Sunday Times. He once suggested during the height of the Mad Cow outbreak (BSE disease) in the 1990s, that the temperamental Colin Montgomerie was suffering from 'Boiling Scotsman Eruptus.' Martin made sure that life was never dull and will be sorely missed.
