My favorite!

I had been eyeing this book for a long time, it is my "new" favorite, THANK YOU!

disappoointing

Some of the recipes look good, but far too many of them use prepared foods such as Velveeta cheese, canned soups which contain a lot of salt and modified starches, baked beans which contain excess sugar and salt, etc. Most of the recipes are quick to prepare, but I wish more fresh ingredients were used. There are several recipes for baked beans that don't even need a slow cooker when all you are doing is adding molasses, mustard and ketchup to a can of beans.

Well all I can say... Is that I have found my slow cooker cookbook!

I can not believe that I am just now coming across this slow cooker cookbook,,, after years of searching the internet for slow cooker meals and buying the little books in the grocery line... wow look what I have missed out on... This book rocks... it even has bread recipes and tamale chicken OMG!!!!!! Wow...veggie recipes as well, turkey, beef, chicken, pork, Asian chicken ginger, chicken soft tacos and soooooo many more.... I found this book for $9.98 used so I am even more happier after seeing the price tag here. The book has some colored pictures as well throughout the book in different sections... I have looked at so many slow cooker books, this one does it for my family! We have two crock pots one big oval one and one medium to small round one... I love to cook in slow cookers on our busy days and just because we can fix it and forget it! Wow I don't know what you are waiting for if you have not ordered this book, but this is the one in my opinion! I have looked at Betty Crocker, and many others and this is the one! Also I picked up her other book Fix it and forget it cookbook feasting with your slow cooker for $5.98... I found this one first at another store and purchased this one first. Then I went to another store and came across the Fix it and forget it big cookbook... It is the only reason that I have both.. I will keep the smaller one for our children when they go off to college, since I received a great deal on it... I was going to return the book and put the money towards another FIAFI big cookbook for them, but I will just keep this one on hand just in case. However the Big cookbook in my opinion is the best and has to stay at our house... NO growing legs on this one! Happy slow cooker cooking! Whew we have finally found our cookbook! Hubby and family are in for some good cooking! I had to write a review of this one! Also the recipes for me were very easy to locate... I had to come back and add the fact that this book also has beverages and desserts and sweets!

great cookbook

This is the be all and end all for cooking using a Crockpot. Recipes are easy, tasty and are suitable for family meals as well as company dinners. It is my "go to" cookbook for just about everything!
