My posture straightened just reading the title

I first encountered this book in the Yale University Library, of all places, and instantly fell in love. It is a trove of useful information, to which I have turned time and again. I have to confess that my very favorite chapters have to do with writing papers and silver flatware; I will be sending a copy to my goddaughter when she is old enough to use it. Thank you, Mrs. Oliver, for a treasure!

Excellent gift for graduates

An interesting and informative book for young girls. This book explains in very nice language a way of behavior that is being lost in todays society. It isn't stuffy, and reminds young and old alike the standard of living which makes life more pleasant for everyone.
