I first encountered this book in the Yale University Library, of all places, and instantly fell in love. It is a trove of useful information, to which I have turned time and again. I have to confess that my very favorite chapters have to do with writing papers and silver flatware; I will be sending a copy to my goddaughter when she is old enough to use it.
