Filet Crochet another method to create pieces that look vintage

I love this book. If you crochet and have not tried filet crochet - give it a whirl. Making pieces with filet crochet goes much more quickly and you can make large pieces in record time. This book contains a multitude of motifs that you can also combine to make anything from doilies to bedspreads. Use a fine crochet thread in a color like Ecru and your work will look like you inherited it from you grandmother, not like you just made it. By combining motifs in this book in different ways and making them into different pieces you will never run out of projects you are dying to make.

great tool

This is a great book to add to your collection of crochet designs and stitches. It can be used to design curtains for the home as well as beautiful and unusual clothing. I must have for the serious needle artist and every day crochet buff. It will add a new dimension to everything you crochet. It is a simple way of thinking outside of the box. Filet crochet opens a whole new world of things you can do with your hook.

I like that the book lays flat. It's so much easier to read a pattern from a book that's laying flat than trying to hold the book open and hold the yarn and needle all at the same time.

Everything you've ever wanted to know about filet crochet is attractively presented in this handy size book, which has a hidden spiral binding. It has the best descriptions I've ever seen on shaping, and makes it easy to learn how to work from charts. It has a great visual presentation of all the techniques, from beginner to advanced, as well as some design collections. Includes designs for small and medium motifs, all-over patterns, even borders. A section on planning a design is quite helpful. A great book to pick up when you're bored and can't think what to crochet next. Take a look here, and you'll be inspired.
