This is a great book - my daughter and I both own it! Most of the cards are quite simple to make and there is a great variety to pick from.

This book is filled with dozens of projects for anyone who enjoys making cards. Easy to read step by step directions and beautiful full color photographs showing the various stages are included. There are so many different ideas for any holiday or other type of celebration, that could keep you making cards for a very long time. The one thing I noticed immediately about the book, is that unlike other card making books, this one shows projects that are gorgeous and would be not only fun to make, but really fun to give away. They are beautiful and most can be interchangeable and used for many different occasions. In the back of the book are several helpful templates that can be enlarged or resized to create cards of any size. Since there is such a wide variety of styles and sizes of cards depicted, why not create your own beautiful envelopes to coordinate with the cards. The patterns make it easy, because you can duplicate these patterns into embellishments to adorn your envelopes. A fun book for the card maker!

Fast Fun Like the Name Says

This book is just like the name says and helps you make fast and fun cards. It manages to provide a wide variety of crafting techniques without requiring too many tools and has a good template section at the back, which enables you to make many of the cards. I particularly liked the following cards: shirt and tie, handbag, coat hanger with small dress, embroidered ribbon, wedding cake card and Easter basket card. My two negatives for this book are that - No sentiments given for the various occasions (I have other books which include some short one liners which you can include inside the cards) - Does not explicitly state the size of the finished cards, so you have look at the largest cardstock used in the project to get the size of the card, so getting envelopes to fit is not as straightforward as it could be.
