Best Cookbook Ever for Time Pressed Cooks

I've got about a dozen cookbooks which promise that they're chock full of fast and easy meals. They might be fast for a sous chef with a couple of dozen strange ingredients lying around the kithen and who can chop foods in the wink of an eye and then leave the load of pots and pans to be cleaned up by someone else. Ha! But, this book is the real thing. I've used Fast & Easy Cooking for the past 18 months and made about half the recipes. Without exception, every single recipe was enjoyed by everyone - kids, adults and visitors alike. The condiments and sauces are almost always items any half-decently stocked western kitchen will have around. The recipes not only taste great, they really are fast and easy as promised. We've started buying this cookbook to give away to friends. I love it, so does everyone else who's received one as a gift. Get it!

An absolute "must have" recipe book

Johanna Burkhard has written another excellent recipe book with "Fast & Easy Cooking". It has a variety of recipes that really are easy to make in a short amount of time. I have yet to make a recipe from this book that I don't love. The recipes are extremely tasty, made from "real" food and the recipes are well written making them easy to follow. She gives you tips and variations of each recipe in the margins which makes it even easier to match what is in your cupboard at the last minute. Each recipe also includes the dietary breakdown (ie fat, calories, protein, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, fat, saturated fat and calcium) per serving. This really is an excellent cookbook - I highly recommend it for every busy cook's library.
