I read this book several years ago.
Actually, I didn’t finish the book because it literally made me sick to my stomach. I’m not usually affected by exposes in this manner, but I think it was the fact that the truths presented in this book made the possibility of ever believing anything a politician says in the future almost impossible, and also made me doubt that voting mattered, or that anything short of Divine intervention will not cure this problem.
A local ex-prosecutor had a broadcast in Indianapolis at the time that I started the book. This is the same prosecutor that nailed Mike Tyson for rape. He started talking about the book and he had the same reaction as mine. He said it made him sick to his stomach and he had to put it down.
The writing is not one sided. Rs and Ds get equal time.
Though it exposes the Boehner and Pelosi era, absolutely nothing has changed regarding the corruption in Congress, except for the magnitude.
Though it is difficult to swallow, I recommend trying to read it, because we need to understand what we’re dealing with. America is great - but our government is hopelessly wicked.
