children's book

This is a nicely produced book, though it is a children's book and I didn't realize that when I purchased the book. The Upanishads are largely philosophical, and this book attempts to put the basics of Vedanta philosophy into simple stories. This is nice for children but waters down the deep and profound philosophy of the Upanishads. There has been greater success in rendering story-oriented Indian teachings, the epics and Puranas, for children.
