Good book

My 8 year read this over the summer. She really loved it. Excellent book for a young child to get an understanding of the Underground railroad.

Emma's Escape!

Emma dreams of making an escape into Canada from slavery after she visits the Smithsonian Institute. There is an exhibit there on slavery and as she learns more about it, she wonders what it would have been like to be there. A nice way to connect museums with history and bring the past alive.
