Janet Elder knows her stuff

Ms. Elder's text has hit the target on providing a learning tool that isn't too difficult for the student who needs basic information about the college experience as well as reading skills that are fundamental for college learning. Her inductive reasoning approach is definitely a winner in that it motivates students to want to know more about the skills.
