Highly Recommend!

I would recommend this book to young adults who are just starting to date and trying to figure out their values regarding dating and love. I think this book is a refreshing look at the meaning of relationships and the purpose of love. It offers young people a chance to demand higher expectations of their dating relationships. I really enjoyed the character, Jason. Through his character, the author showed us that not all young men are the stereotypical womanizer.

Excellent Book!

Once I got started, I had to pry myself away from this book! And even as a mother of 2 babies, I finished the it over the weekend. This is a beautiful story of unconditional, eternal love which bridges time and space. Ellen Gable portrays magnificently the Lord's gentle knocking in calling each of us into a deeper relationship with Him, no matter what our current state of affairs is. The characters are very well developed, and one can identify with them in one way or another through Gable's use of humor, real life situations and emotion strung throughout the story. It also contains a wealth of information and is both educational and inspirational. I highly recommend this book as reading it will be enjoyable time well spent!

Impressive first book

What a wonderful first book by Ellen Gable. Once started it's hard to put down. Emily's Hope takes you on a real journey. The characters are well defined and memorable. You share in her struggle to find faith and love in her future, as well as travelling into the past of her great-grandmother. The different value systems of these two women reflect the shifting morals of today. A must read for young women, Emily's Hope educates and entertains at the same time. I loved this book and look forward to reading it over and over again.

From a Man's Point of View

A challenging book. Certainly not because I couldn't get in to it, but in regard to the clear message that comes through challenging those who may be sitting on the fence with their views on LIFE, FAMILY, and FIDELITY. As a father of five young children and a CCL certified teacher of NFP, I am grateful for the character development that was so griping and true-to-life. It will be an excellent read for my children when they're older and being prepared for not only the 'real world', but in discerning what God would like them to do with their lives and how they will be learning to embrace all, not just some, of God's commandments to live a moral and upstanding life to the best of their ability. I highly recommend this book to any parent, and to any teenager.

A Beautiful Story

Emily's Hope is an uplifting story that I very much enjoyed. The author immerses you in the lives of the main characters and invites you to share their journeys. Their stories were so engaging, I found it hard to put the book down. This beautiful story shows how openness to God's grace can transform us and give us hope, even through suffering. Well done!
