The enchanting art of Edmund Dulac elevates the tarot to new heights in this fascinating deck. Channeling the elemental power of beloved faery tales, these cards energize the reader's own sense of archetypal wisdom. Known as one of the top talents of the golden age of illustration, Dulac made his name with illustrated versions of Shakespeare, Hans Christian Andersen, and Edgar Allen Poe. This deck showcases his most magical and mysterious works, leading to profound readings that speak to the heart and the inner spirit.
Exceptionally beautiful artwork, surprisingly well suited to Tarot.

There are several art decks by artists whom I admire who are contemporaries of Dulac. Before I purchased this, I looked on YouTube for comparisons. It was very clear that even though each of these decks follow the RWS format, that these Dulac illustrations, and the way they have been chosen, makes them surprisingly fitting to Tarot structure and consequently easy to read! The majors are only numbered, with no titles , and honestly, there are 3 of them that could be confused by the illustration, so you’ll need to know your RWS majors. The minors have number and suit, but most of them fit the suit stories so well that they almost seem to have been originally intended for a Tarot Deck! Typical LWB and tuck box from Lo Scarabeo. Another truly beautiful art deck, and unusually easy to read.
