These books, originally published under the name of "Alexandre Dumas", were actually written by author Edmund Flagg in 1884. They are part of several sequels to the Count of Monte Cristo, written by other authors but published under the name of "Alexandre Dumas" by T. B. Peterson & Brothers at the end of the 19th century. They called it the "Monte-Cristo" Series, and it included the original "The Count of Monte-Cristo," "The Countess of Monte-Cristo," by Jean Charles Du Boys, two books by Jules Lermina, "The Wife of Monte-Cristo, Hayd?e," and "The Son of Monte-Cristo, Esp?rance, plus these two books by Edmund Flagg, Edmond Dantes and Monte-Cristo's Daughter.
