Spectacular!

This is my second Terry Thompson cookbook, the other being her Cajun-Creole one, and it is fantastic. Every recipe in it that I have tried so far has been a winner. A few weeks ago I made stuffed pork loin, sweet potatoes and apples and smothered green beans for a dinner party, all out of this book. They were all smash hits.

What a great cookbook

Among my Southern cookbooks, this is the one that's 100% dependable. I haven't made anything that's not outstanding. An old standby like Country Captain turns out a triumph. The Pecan Chess Pie is the best pie I've ever eaten. And the writing is terrific. One of the best cookbooks I've ever seen.
