A mother will do anything to protect her child. But does that include running away with a troll?
As Lauren steps off the plane in Norway for a girl's holiday, her little secret is revealed. She is pregnant. The father wants nothing to do with her, and her own parents have disowned her, so all she wants is to find comfort in the arms of her old uni friends. But the arms she finds, just so happen to be a lot bigger, stronger, and more than capable of fulfilling her hormonal urges.
Urug is living a half-life, haunted by memories, protecting his dwindling population from the humans he despises, and having to follow the orders of his much younger boss- a fact that never ceases to rankle him. But when he sees the mother to be standing there in the snow, feelings he thought long buried rise to the surface. He is compelled to protect her and her child as the Stone Trolls bring the mountain crashing down around them. He cannot fail again, even if she is human.
