A new fear with a twist on past publications

The cover has similarities to my favorite original Fear Street cover (The Prom Queen) and the storyline is similar to two of my favorite 1990's Fear Street books [possible spoilers so I am not including the titles, but if you read it you may see the similarities too (one is in the original series and the other is in the super chiller series)]. Be aware when ordering from here that you may not get the cover in the picture. Mine arrived without the Netflix logo, which I was happy about, but if you are wanting a certain one that may matter to you.

Return to Fear Street 3 (Drop DEAD Gorgeous)

The new hot girl named Morgan Marks is very mysterious, with prior school records claiming she died. Julie Hart and her friends Winks, Zane, Amber, Liam, and Delia have strong opinions about the new girl. The boys can't help drooling over Morgan whenever they see her. They even have a bet to see who can hook up with Morgan first. However, Morgan shows some strange habits, like licking up blood from cuts she causes. Is Morgan a vampire? Julie and her friends must find out, but they are terrified when people start dropping like flies. Who is the murderer, and who will they kill next? This R.L. Stine book gets bloody. So much so that I felt queasy and sweaty, reading Morgan's vivid backstory. I believe that's what makes R.L. Stine's stories masterpieces. Of course, I enjoyed the twist at the end; I didn't see it coming. I love how the author combines the two ideas from the preexisting books: the story of the Fear family with the chapters being told from different characters' perspectives. As always, it is a pleasure to read R.L. Stine's books. I look forward to reading more of the Fear Street series. I hope he continues with these Return to Fear Street volumes.
