They were creatures seemingly spawned straight from the pits of Hell--demons, zombies, fire-breathing imps--all too horrifically close to the stuff of nightmare to be real. But they were. And on the inhospitable moons of Mars, Corporal Flynn Fly Taggart, Earth's last line of defense against a seemingly inexhaustible supply of alien warriors, beat them back almost single-handedly. But Taggart discovers that the war had barely begun...for while he was fighting them on Mars, the hellish creatures had established a beachhead on Earth itself. Now, with the aid of a fourteen-year-old female computer genius, an unrepentantly Mormon sniper, and the best soldier in this woman's army, Fly Taggart must defeat the invaders--and their treacherous human allies--yet again...

Hell on Earth is book 2 of the greatest sci-fi series of all time. I am not much of a book reader, but i couldn't put the book down.
THE BEST IN THE SERIES!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 25 years ago
HEll on earth is the most thrilling of the series. "Knee Deep in the Dead" is gripping but the grip is that of a Imp, okay a freaking big Imp. But "Hell on Earth" is where the whole book takes of, you don't know dick if you don't read "Hell on Earth" The story line behind Salt Lake, New York, and Hawaii, continues on through the next two books. People who havn't played the game will not like the books, but for us people who worship Doom the books are our Bible. All Hail DOOM! One problem though is the ending of the series in "Endgame" If you ask me I think that Dayfadd sould create an sutible ending, one fit for a couple of kick ass Marines! "AND THE BIGGEST GOD DAMNED BOOT YOU CAN FIND!"
ANOTHER FINE NOVEL BY DAFYDD AB HUGH!!! 5 STARS!!!!!

I previously commented on the 1st novel in the 4 part series, Knee-Deep in the Dead, and I just have to comment again!! This is a damn fine book!! The DOOM series of books are some of the finest pieces of literature that i have read. I have read all the boring classics and such for school but I read this series for enjoyment. I have read the entire 4 book set 3 times and it just gets better and better each time I read it. This book takes the reader deeper into the cosmos of space as "Fly" Taggart and Arlene Sanders encounter strange creatures as they try to save the human race. The aliens have almost perfected a monster that looks exactly like a human, and Fly has to stop them before they take the next step towards final global domination. This is a must read!!! I recommend reading Knee-Deep in the Dead first in order to understand and enjoy the story more fully, but you don't have to...It is a great story just by itself. Well folks... that is all for me today on this book...See you in the next book review for HELL ON EARTH! --Pudge
Exciting continuation of the Doom game and the first book

Everyone, I have to say that this book did keep up at night. I couldn't put it down, I had to know what was around the corner, how they get out of the alley, and how do they get off of the Mars moon? A must read. I finished it in a couple of hours and couldn't put it down. The only down side, the almost constant change of character and the almost constant religious references to the Mormon church. What is this, a sci-fi book, or the Mormon Bible. I had to double check the author and subject several times. Read it if you want to stay up late and be entertained. A must read.
