For a truly inspirational and beautiful look into the bond we share with our beloved canine companions, //Dogs & Devotion// is an outstanding tribute. The Monks of New Skete offer in their writings a way to look at our four-legged friends and by taking a moment to better understand of how they live so that we, too, may find some wisdom in treating ourselves a little better. This book is filled with lovely photographs and is full of insight for taking life a little less seriously, making the little things in life a reward worth celebrating and, as we all know, learning to give of yourself unconditionally. The authors believe that dogs have a lot to teach us about how to live, perhaps most importantly, the quality of devotion. Dogs are masters of the art of devotion, not only in their loyalty to us, but also in the way they approach every aspect of life. Very insightful

This book is a great study on how dogs help make us more human. I've always known dogs to be great spiritual teachers. I've given the book to several dog loving friends and all have been moved by the monk's wise words. Thanks be to God and dog.

A Book Every Dog Lover Should Have

This is a small book, with wonderful pictures of all kinds of dogs and equally wonderful narratives on various aspects of our relationships with our dogs. The authors are the Monks of New Skete, who are known for breeding German Shepherds and for their books on dogs. This book is not a dog training book or a book just about German shepherds. I got it after losing my beloved old canine friend and it brought me lots of comfort.

The Devotional of Dogs

Very touching and moving. This very simply describes what are dogs are doing for us even when we don't know it.
