I really think this book is excellent in describing different problems and people in the process of being a doctor. I'm a pre-med student and my sister gave me a copy to read--I couldn't put it down. Very interesting and thought-provoking. I highly recommend it.
Fills a gap--informative and enjoyable, lovely style too!

Here is a book like no other! Which prompted me to write this review. Filled with anecdotes from Dr. Berczeller's medical practice, "Doctors and Patients" fills a gap in accounts of the "doctor-patient relationship". Through examples, Dr. Berczeller moves with lightning (but deliberate) speed on various topics germane to medical practice. The writing--i.e. factual material + STYLE--is just great! One can hardly put the book down! This certainly is a thoughtful, engrossing and enjoyable book which offers tons of insights into a doctor's thought processes (and emotions) while on the job and not. Bravo to Berczeller, a modern-day Osler! From start to finish an informative and delightful read--great for patients AND doctors and everyone else.
