Irresistible!

The titles themselves are intriguing: Domestic Surrealism? Hitting a Skunk at 60 Miles per Hour? God in Pasta? Secret Shoes? Unable to choose I read the poems in order, unable to stop I read them all again and then again. The language, craftsmanship and emotional tones are wonderful but it's the absolute fun of being drawn into Cohen's world of startling motion and color, always a surprise around next corner, that makes this collection irresistible.

Loved it loved it loved it

Over the years, I've read Bruce Cohen's poems as they've appeared in literary magazines, and I jumped at the chance to read one after the other in his new book. It's like being led through the suburbs of the mind by a not-so trustworthy but acidly accurate Virgil. A real romp, sometimes laugh out loud funny and sometimes you just want to cry from recognition.
