This is a wonderful book to have in one's collection for any afficionado of Marcel Proust. There are passages in the book that reflects the chapters in Proust's book "In Search of Lost Time"; most of them reflecting on the pleasures of eating with friends and family. Marcel Proust gives a beautiful and lush descriptions of the pleasures of dining. With wonderful photographs, it captures the author's life and reflections on his famous novel. When the book arrived, it came with a few scratches, but it does not bother me at all. It indicates that this was cared for.
