De.lu.sion.al is the story of Margaret Ann Sullivan, an attractive woman in her late 20's, with a life long history of mental illness. Diagnosed as delusional, Margaret's story is compelling as she survives incarcerations in mental institutions and prison for stalking a very powerful political talk show host, Larry Mitchell. Larry is known in the business for sexual preying on young interns and the disenfranchised. After meeting Larry at a park in Connecticut, and a brief affair, Margaret's life begins its out of control spiraling as she is thrown into the world of the evils of celebrity, one in which she becomes the victim of an evil and ruthless man, who will stop at nothing to stay in power as America's reigning king of political talk shows.
The separation of the spelling of delusional into syllables is used because the author felt it better represented the fragmentation of Margaret's life because of her mental health diagnosis.
