I wasn't very familiar with Vietnamese cooking, but I bought this book because I loved the other books in the series so much. While I don't use this one as much as the others, I've found it's just as easy to use. The recipes come out delicious! I especially like how I, as someone unfamiliar with Vietnamese cuisine, can create nice meals with the help of the book. I was amazed at how easy spring rolls really are, and I'm grateful for the glossary in the back of the book that explains what the unfamiliar ingredients are. Eng Tie Ang has obviously dedicated her life to food, and it shows in these books. The recipes take a few short cuts here and there, but the quality doesn't suffer as a result. This makes them even more useful for the mother who's cooking for the family. I love that!
