She's Death in heels, and that's the least of her problems.
Being a reaper is a lot harder than flipping burgers-but Jazz Sweeney has never been one to back down from responsibility.
She's not exactly thrilled about her latest assignment: reaping the soul of convicted serial killer Theodore Salazar at the state penitentiary. Years ago, Salazar terrorized Eastwood, leaving two victims near the Eastwood River. Now that he's finally dead, the city can breathe a sigh of relief.
Or so they think.
The very next morning, the killings start again. The police insist it's the work of a copycat, but Jazz knows better. This isn't a ghost, and it's no wannabe murderer. The real nightmare is just beginning-because the legend of the Chain Man isn't just a story. He's real. And he's back.
As if hunting down a supernatural killer wasn't enough, Jazz also has to deal with Brock Logan, the dangerously irresistible president of the Death Dogs MC, who's still determined to claim her. She's tempted to let him-until the leader of the rival Shadow Riders drops a bombshell that makes her question everything she knows about Brock and his club.
And just to top off the chaos, Sir Edward has developed an unhealthy obsession with TV game shows.
It's all in a day's work when you're a Reaper.
