I had never read any books by Lee Roddy before, and decided to give this book a try. I thought it was very interesting especially since i didn't know much about the the actual Pinkertons. It had a romance, suspense, and myster, basically a little bit of everything. I thought it was a very good book, but it could of used more about God in it, the characters and their faith wasn't mentioned very much. Overall a great book though! It's about Laurel, a woman who was a spy during the war, now that the war is over she has a different and just as dangerous assignment: she must try and figure out if one of the railroad conductors is stealing from people. As she takes her friend Sarah on the trip on the railroad, Laurel encounters all kinds of things from murder to a handsome rebel soldier named Ridge.
