One night three drunken men broke into their home and attacked them. Throughout the night they suffered different forms of abuse. None thought they would live through the night. When morning came, one by one they found each other. They lived through it, but now a journey of healing lay before them. Over the years Jadie struggled spiritually and emotionally with anger, fear, flashbacks, night terrors, and other side effects of the attack. Yet through determination and with the support of her family, she learned and put into practice biblical truths of her identity and authority in Christ. She accepted the love and lordship of Jesus in her situation. She learned to take her thoughts captive and allow the peace of Christ to rule in her life. It was not an easy journey, but in the end she emerged totally healed and living a life of victory and joy.
