Dark Sunshine

I last read this book several years ago but it's a story I've never forgotten. It's about a girl who reluctantly moves with her family to a ranch out west and there discovers a horse--and they heal each other. It's such an incredible story, a wonder it hasn't been reviewed before. I have the worn hardcover edition next to me and I'm about to read it again. I'm almost 30...I think I first read this when I was around 12. One of my favorites!
