The latest addition to the Dark Horse horror line is this chilling original graphic novel from writer and publisher Mike Richardson (The Secret, Cravan). Twentysomething Meagan Walters regains consciousness and finds herself locked in an empty room of an old house. She's bleeding from the back of her head, and has no memory of where the wound came from - she'd been at a club with some friends... left angrily... was she abducted? When Meagan peers through the door's keyhole, she starts to suspect that her captor isn't quite human...
If you like horror films, you will enjoy Cut. The thoughtful art work and careful design of the monster create a wonderful atmosohere and the dialouge is well written. High production values all the way around. Cut's greatest shortcoming is the plot, which goes where every other horror film or story has gone before. The ending is predictable and the victims are all pretty women who end up running around a haunted house half-dressed. However, where the plot of "Cut" takes it's readers is not as important as how it takes them there. A scary, edge-of-your-seat and enjoyable read. Especially for the low $9.95 price.
