Insight into a dictatorship

Written by a journalist who treasures intellectual freedom, this book should be read by all those on the Left who glorify Castro and his Revolution. Refusing to toe the Party line, Timerman exposes the myth of Fidelismo and the terror and misery in which Cubans live.

A GOOD BOOK IF THIS IS YOUR SUBJECT

IF YOU'VE EVER WANTED TO GO TO CUBA THIS IS PROBABLY THE NEXT BEST THING. CREDIBLE BECAUSE IT'S WRITTEN BY A LEFTIST. I GOT THROUGH IT QUICKLY BUT THEN AGAIN I LIKE POLITICS AND THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY FOR A POLITICAL JUNKIE. NOT FOR GENERAL INTEREST, ALTHOUGH YOU DON'T NEED ANY PARTICULARLY INVOLVED BACKGROUND TO READ IT.
