Fast paced, suspenseful and the witty dialogue between the main characters and the secondary characters were great too! Crossing the Line is a definite keeper for your bookshelf. Mrs. Layton is on point with the hindrances for interracial couples as well as the happiness that interracial couples may find. Enjoy and the book cover is fantastic.

This book was so very good. I rate books based on whether I connect with the characters and I just loved Nick and Raina. He was not arrogant as you see so many male characters and she was smart, yet vunerable. They were genuine characters and you could feel their sincere love. The secondary characters only added to this story. There was enough mystery and intrigue interwoven. Very, very good book!

I really enjoyed this book. It was part mystery romance and had some comical parts. Both main characters were really strong and yet sensitive and vulnerable when it caused for it. Over 400 pages I felt I got my moneys worth Layton went into nice detail. The only issue that I had which is very minor is that I felt Raina did too much she was an artist could sing play baseball fish decorator fashion designer mentor at the church and so on but like I said not a big deal. I also didn't think it was logical that it would take this killer almost 6 hours until he finally attempted to kill her but other than that I still thought that it was very good.

I cannot get into Cop stories but I love Crossing the Line. Nick was sexy, stupid, and kind, Riana was smart, loving, and resourceful. It was a wonderful interracial love story that kept it real. The plot was smooth and kept you guessing. I loved it Kudos to Bernice.
