Inspirational Ideas

Although there are some good layout ideas here that could be applied to any project, the book focuses a great deal of attention on special production techniques and big-budget projects; For instance, you'll find a design that features a gift bag for children that includes crayons and a miniature train, all sporting the advertiser's logo. Another design utilizes bright yellow corrugated paper and a die-cut protective card. These are not your mother's bi-folds printed off the family ink jet. The book provides details as to who the designers are, the target audience, etc.. I'd recommend it for a designer's library. These are the projects dreams are built on, after all.

This book is a great mid priced book full of photos to kick start your own ideas. There are a few examples that aren't going to please the hard-core cutting edge specialists - but for real world designers there is more than enough to be satisfied. Lots of nice examples for layout, paper sizes and colour.
