An excellent resource!

I am a case manager in the mental health field. I was at a conference about Impact Therapy a year ago when I was first introduced to Ed Jacobs and this wonderful book. I thought the few techniques demonstrated at the conference were very interesting and I went out and purchased this book the next day. I was not disappointed. I have used the techniques in this book multiple times with my clients with a fairly good rate of sucess. A great resource for anyone in a helping profession!

ED JACOBS OFFERS MANY WONDERFUL CONCRETE COUNSELING TECHNIQUES IN THIS BOOK. IT GIVES A WHOLE NEW APPROACH TO COUNSELING AND PROVIDES NEW TECHNIQUES TO INTRODUCE IDEAS TO CLIENTS. AFTER SEEING DR. JACOBS DEMONSTRATE SOME OF THESE TECHNIQUES, IN A SEMINAR THAT OUR STUDENT COUNSELING ASSOCIATION PUT ON, I USED SOME WITH THE TEEN POPULATION I WAS WORKING WITH AT THE TIME. I WAS SOLD ON THESE CREATIVE TECHNIQUES WHEN I RECEIVED GREAT FEEDBACK FROM MY CLIENTS. I BELIEVE THAT ALL COUNSELORS SHOULD HAVE THIS BOOK AND PUT TO USE SOME OF DR. JACOBS IDEAS.
