This book has some real cool ideas of things to do with your kids. There are instructions for making a wonderful board game - I don't think my kids have enjoyed a game that much. There are also instructions for making watercolors, chalk and fingerpaints - and they actually work! My next project is making the "smuggler rocks" - you make home-made rocks and put little toys inside them. I think the kids will love it. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the book only had 11 projects that I want to do - but few books have that many.
Fun for a weekend with your friends

I just love this book! I originally got it when my husband and I were expecting an exchange student from Japan. We needed ideas about things to do together as a group that would be fun and that would bring us together as a family. Boy, does this book fit the bill! Traig has filled this terrific little book with dozens of fun little projects that can be worked out individually, or with a little group of friends (for when our exchange student, age 15, brought her friends over). They can be done within 15 minutes, or over an hour or so. They are all a lot of fun and make a minimum of mess. Some of them are games, too, like wacky golf, etc. Really great for rainy days when you're stuck inside with nothing to do. I feel this is a great gift for your teenage kids, or for those of you who are young at heart!

I loved this book. I use it all the time. It's part of The Crafty Girl series. All the books in this series are full of clever ideas made simple with great instructions. This one is just as good as the others -- which is saying a lot.
