Great for teachers and writers!

I enjoyed Romano's advice for writers and teachers. While the focus of the book is on voice (style, juice, etc), it gave great advice for engaging yourself or your students in writing in general. Engaged writers write with voice and enthusiasm.

A Must Have Book

Mr. Romano writes intelligently on crafting a writing voice that invites itself in the door. He frequently mixes genres, blending poetry, fictional excerpts, and expository pieces. He writes with flair and insight. This is an excellent book for writing teachers, students, and anyone who wishes to make his or her writing come alive. Highly recommended!

Buy this one! When Tom Romano "speaks" about how to develop an "authentic" writing voice, we really ought to listen, since he has more than 30 years of writing and teaching about writing. One of his best, this book can help authors shape their literary identity.
