The Princeton Review realizes that acing the AP Physics B & C Exams is very different from getting straight A's in school. We don't try to teach you everything there is to know about physics-only what... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The book was everything I expected it to be. I particularly liked how it taught a topic that was immediately followed by a sample problem. Comparing this book to the Kaplan one, I found this book to translate rather difficult concepts into much easier ones. The one thing that I would change is a stronger Gravitation section. This seemed to be my weakest area out of all of them.
Great study guide for a tough test

This book was required for my daughter's physics class last year. The teacher of her AP Physics class has a very high pass rate on the AP Physics exams with the majority of her students scoring 4 or 5. She attributes this success to this book. My daughter scored a 5 on both the B and C tests. Now my son is prepping to take the AP Physics B exam and once again this book is required. I didn't even pause when he asked for a new copy of the latest edition. Update: My son recently competed in a regional scholastic competition and took first place in physics. He's a junior taking the AP Physic B class and took first place against second year (AP Physics C) students. He used this book to prepare for the competition.
It was ok, a little confusing

I found this book to be helpful in some ways and in other ways, not so much. The sections on Mechanics were very simple and easy to understand. The Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Physics and the Waves and Optics sections were all easy for me to comprehend. This book was a big help in the Waves and Optics section because we didn't even go over that in class, but I was able to teach myself how to do it. As far as the Electricity and Magnetism, I thought it was extremely difficult to understand and after a while I didn't even bother with it, because I just didn't get it. I don't know if this would be my first suggestion for an AP Physics B review book, but it was ok, just a little confusing.
The way to go to improve your score.

This book contains everything you'd want to know about both AP Physics tests. Everything is written clearly and makes perfect sense, even if you're teacher is useless (trust me, mine is). I've taught myself entire sections using this book alone. I have no doubt that this will improve my score on the AP Physics test.
Excellent!

This book helped me prepare me for my 5 on the mechanics and 5 on the EM test! Physics is the hardest subject ever and I didn't get the best grade both semesters. But with this book, I crammed on the last few days before the AP test and did well! I recommend this book!
